BY TRAIN Nearest station is Leuchars (5 miles) on main line from London (King's Cross) - Edinburgh - Aberdeen. St Andrews may be reached by car, taxi or by service bus from Leuchars (2 to 3 buses per hour between 9am and 6pm and less frequently at other times). Travel by late overnight sleeper is convenient if met by car or taxi. BY PLANE Airports at Glasgow and Edinburgh offer plenty of connections both nationally and internationally. Additionally Scotair (0870 6060707) fly between London City Airport and Dundee. Car hire is available from the major firms at both airports and in the city centres. From Edinburgh Airport, you can proceed by bus to the centre of Edinburgh (Haymarket Station) and then by rail to Leuchars. BY BUS Take a bus to Glenrothes (a small town near St. Andrews) a local bus will connect you. A timetable will be posted here of the local bus link. The National Express bus company timetables/journey planner is here, remember Glenrothes is your destination. BY CAR From The South Travel north on the M90 over the Forth Bridge. Leave the Motorway at Junction 3 and follow the A92 to its junction with the A914 north of Glenrothes. Take the A914 to the next roundabout, turn right and continue on the A91 through Cupar to St Andrews. Driving Times From The North Aberdeen on A90 south to Dundee. At Dundee follow the signs for A92 Tay Bridge Cross bridge and continue on A92 until sign posted A914 / A919 to St Andrews. Continue on through Leuchars and Guardbridge following the signs for St Andrews.
